Sogoni Koun refers to a small antelope head carving used during Tjiwara Society dance ceremonies. Small and stylized with abstracted bodies, these charming creatures represented the wara droun (animal children). This example is particularly winsome with a pair of erect triangular ears set behind slender horns and a tapered throat rising from a gracefully rounded body. ex Rand Tribal Gallery, Denver
