Riccardo Licata (Italian)
1994
Licata’s work is generally described as “pictorial writing” which the artist himself characterized as a “desire to draw music and its spirit”. This engraving suggests the tempo of an ancient alphabet. Phoenician perhaps? Etruscan? Dwarvish? Dothraki?
