Punu artist (Gabon)
This is an unusual example with the line bisecting the eyes. Decorative lines are usually found in relief on the forehead or across the nose, but in this case, the line has been carved into the face.
Out of the 1060 Punu masks documented in the Guy Van Rijn archives, this is the only mask that has a line carved across the eyes (Object ao-0049686-001)
