Widely used in the Kula trade, armbands have been embraced for eons and they still are. However, the entirely beaded versions they’ve morphed into, seem to be more about show than the importance of gifting them as a Kula object. By virtue of the fact this is relatively unadorned, it’s adjudged to be an older version.
