Peter Roux (American)
This piece is the result of an accident. The original flat painting was damaged in shipping so that it arrived with a permanent horizontal crease about a quarter of the way down from the top. Our solution was to fold the paper at the crease and then to continue folding for uniformity. We then mounted our accordion on a piece of foam core to keep the folds from collapsing.
We liked the result and thankfully, the artist did too.
